Notes for a systemic conception of text: the Iuri Lotman and Walter Mignolo’s proposals

This article analyses the fundamental elements of Iuri Lotman and Walter
Mignolo’s theories with the purpose of contrasting their conceptions about the notion of text, a key concept to understand culture as a semiotic and polisystemic complex, according to the dynamics of the diverse production camps, their agents and
mechanisms.
