Abstract

Study of the characteristics of the autobiographic and biographic discourses
that configure Jorge Volpi’s novel. Volpi’s novel is apparently an autobiography, but it is really a fictional autobiography. The mixture between the biographic and autobiographic discourse has as a consequence the erosion of the identity of narratorauthor (Volpi) and favors that of Jorge Cuesta, the person about whom this novel is written.
