Huidobro’s Utopian Ways: An Approach to La próxima

Abstract

Through a preliminary study of La próxima by Vicente Huidobro, the author examines the utopian (or rather anti-utopian) allegory that Huidobro’s trust in poetry becomes the true Huidobrian utopia: the full realisation of the individual and the artist in a synthesis that eliminates the divisions between these two aspects of the self.
