Open Access Policy

ALPHA: Journal of Arts, Literature, and Philosophy provides free, open, and immediate access to its entire content, starting with Issue 49 (December 2019), at no cost to readers or institutions and with no registration requirements for its entire collection. Our editorial policy is based on the principle that open access to research promotes the exchange of knowledge and the development of scientific collaboration networks. ALPHA Journal adheres to the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI), emphasizing open access, open copyright licenses, and open archives. The entire collection is available in the "Back Issues" section.

The journal does not charge article processing fees and imposes no costs on its authors.

Published articles are subject to the following terms:

  • Authors keep the copyright to published articles and materials and encourage their reuse under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license. Therefore, they may be copied, used, distributed, transmitted, and publicly displayed, provided that the authorship and original source of the publication (journal, publisher, URL, and DOI of the article) are cited; and this license is mentioned.
  • Each article is assigned a DOI (Digital Object Identifier) to facilitate its dissemination and open access, and to ensure its preservation.
