Abstract

Film discourse offers specific particularities to organize spatial and temporal paradigms compared with verbal discourse and theatrical performance. This paper analyses spatial and temporal configurations as they appear in film narratives. Examples are drawn from a variety of world movies, and especially from the Spanish film Women of the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown (1988), by Pedro Almodóvar.
