Abstract
This article presents Rene Girard‟s theory of the Christian origin of Science. Before approaching Girard‟s theory, we offer an overview of the common arguments used to attribute Christianity‟s participation in the formation of scientific activity. According to Girard, Christianity is the main promoter of science, because censoring the persecution of minorities, opens the possibility of natural phenomena research.
