ALPHA. Journal of Arts, Literature and Philosophy is an open-access academic publication edited by the Department of Humanities and Arts of the Universidad de Los Lagos. Since its founding, its aim has been to promote and strengthen dialogue and the exchange of original research articles in Literature, Linguistics, and Philosophy in Spanish.

This scope includes collaborations in the arts, cultural studies, critical theory, or topics that, while not belonging exclusively to one of these areas, serve as meeting points and spaces for strengthen these fields of interest.

The journal publishes research articles in digital format on a biannual basis, which are evaluated throughout a double-blind peer review system, free of charge to authors.

ALPHA is institutionally funded and is indexed in Web of Science, Scopus, SciELO, The MLA International Bibliography, among other international databases.
